The employment practice is run by Jonathan Compton. Jonathan qualified as a lawyer in 1996 and is an expert in advising both businesses and employees on employment law.The firm advises many businesses, mainly local but with several high profile clients in London, on their contracts and relations with their employees and on the wave upon wave of employment legislation and regulation. Jonathan is particularly expert at representing employers at industrial tribunals. He also supports the corporate practice by advising where applicable on the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
Jonathan's service to employers also enables him to act as gamekeeper turned poacher when acting for employees. Whether such clients are concerned about their relationship with their employer or that relationship has broken down, he aims to provide a swift, amicable and cost-effective resolution of such matters.
Competition Law
Jonathan also holds a masters degree in European competition law. He is therefore able to advise on all aspect of competition and anti-trust matters. This is a useful addition to the corporate service which many business clients appreciate.More information...
