Mark Brafield

Associate Solicitor

Mark is an experienced litigator. He holds a first class degree from Trinity College Oxford, where he was a double scholar.

Mark Brafield Mark studied at Trinity College, Oxford and qualified as a solicitor in 1989. Having trained at Decherts, he went on to practice commercial litigation at Eversheds and family law for 8 years in the East End of London. He was head of litigation for 5 years at a leading Guildford firm before moving to AWB Partnership.

Mark's practice concentrates on property litigation and family law, and the increasing overlap between the two areas.

He has particular expertise in landlord and tenant law (both commercial and residential) and is a leading local practitioner in the field of leasehold extensions and freehold purchases.

In family law, he specialises in ancillary relief claims and co-habitee disputes. He regularly handles applications under The TRusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 and the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
